Annabel Tiffin is the main female presenter and co-host of BBC Televisions North West Tonight programme which can be seen each weekday night at 6.30pm .
She began her journalism career in newspapers, before moving on to radio.
Her TV career began on Birmingham Live TV when she was the first person to be seen on this cable channel. The next 18 months consisted of a bit of everything from news reading to presenting slots about missing pets and soap opera reviews! To illustrate her diversity, Annabel also presented the channel’s 1997 election night coverage and interviewed the stars of X Files on a roof!
From there Annabel worked for ITV in the East Midlands as a presenter and reporter, before joining BBC North West Tonight in 2003.
In addition to being a regular face on North West Tonight, she has covered local and general elections for the BBC and has written produced and presented items for North West Tonight, the Politics Show and inside Out.
In her spare time Annabel enjoys running and yoga which helps to keep her fit to look after her two children. She has hosted and facilitated a number of conferences and award ceremonies and training events.
And in 2011 Annabel, along with the Politics Show team, picked up the award for Best Current Affairs programme at the Royal Television Society’s North West Awards.
